Rich and I just celebrated our one year wedding anniversary. Crazy… a year! Where does the time go? This has been a GREAT year filled with fun, new, exciting adventures. We have now been in NewYork for two and a half years. I was so excited and lucky to finish the year off performing at Radio City Music Hall with the Rockettes for The Christmas Spectacular. Thank you to everyone who made it out for that. We loved having so many family and friends here for the holidays. It truly meant a lot to us.
Rich is working full time for IFD. Yup the mortgage company in Utah. Yup that means he travels a lot. He travels…I travel… we should open a touring show. I am now 27, almost 28; he is 37 looking like 28. I know what you all are thinking… “but Matt you look so young and there is so much to do in New York”…. lol You’re right! There is so much to do. However, my highest priority is no longer performing and auditioning — it’s expanding a family with my husband. I am feeling the itch to expand on this family Rich and I started, well, four years ago. And all this traveling will not do. It will not do you Missy Moo. (Sorry, I don’t know why I just turned into Dr. Suess.) Anyway, many of our family and friends have had kids or have started to have kids. We feel like it is the right time for us to start as well. So, while in Utah celebrating our one year, we looked at some houses and properties! Rich and I are looking at places in Park City. We love Park City and feel like it is a great place to raise an unconventional family like ours. Plus they have the best schools in Utah. (Just in case Rich wants to go back) lol just kidding… Right Rich? Just kidding…
When we decided we were truly ready to pursue this next chapter, I had no reservation about having children. It is what I want, pretty much more than anything. I have had some reservations about leaving New York though. I LOVE living here. I love the lights, I love the city, I love the culture, I love the life here. However, it is a life that works for Rich and me, not one that is ideal for raising a family. At least not for us. Rich and I need to cut our traveling down and if thatmeans moving to Park City then it is what we have to do for our family. I am lucky with dance because I am able to teach, perform and continue growing anywhere. Rich will continue working with IFD, meaning he will not be traveling. We really are so excited for this next new chapter. Rich and I can not wait to be parents. I think we were blessed with such good parents that we want to pass down all the amazing lessons learned and experiences from them.
